CCA 2007 Ladies Firearm

CCA 2007 Ladies Firearm

Lady 2007 carries out the Nevada state theme with a silver-plated finish and will be sold by raffle at the All Colt Show in Reno, Nevada. The funds go to the Elizabeth Colt Legacy Foundation. This year's winner will have an award-winning piece for his/her collection.

The foundation is proud to announce it has disbursed $5,000 to the Whittington Adventure Camp in Raton, New Mexico. These funds allowed five young people between the ages of 12 and 18 to attend camp. The Elizabeth Colt Legacy Foundation will be announcing further disbursements at the 2007 Reno show.

Thank you Lt. General William M. Keys, President and CEO, Colt's Manufacturing Co., LLC, for the donation of Lady 2007. We appreciate your continuing support. Two of your design team are Joe Canali, Colt Custom Gun Shop, and Kathleen Hoyt, Colt Historian. Thanks to both of you for all you do for the Colt Collectors Association.

A very special thank you goes to Denise Thirion. She has been our engraver of choice since we started tuning the Colt Single Action Army revolver. She has given us a unique revolver each year. Her engraved guns are highly sought after.

The Colt factory letter is an important part of the process. Thank you, again, to Kathleen Hoyc, Colt Historian and thank you to Beverly Haynes, Colt Archivist, for your fine work on the letter.

Les Yoder continues to donate a case for the Ladies Gun and the Show Gun. Les and Earl Whitney design the museum quality cases every year. We appreciate their efforts and thank both of them. Last year Earl Whitney and Barbara Hinesley donated a medallion for the Ladies case. This year they are donating a Nevada silver medallion and Nevada silver ore for the Ladies gun case. Thank you both so much for the donation and for your hard work on the 2007 CCA Reno Shaw. The Colt Collectors Association continues to be the successful organization it is by the contributions of many.
